ESPN reporter Erin Andrews has been getting death threats since September, and the FBI has identified the sender, according to Andrews’ attorney, Marshall Grossman.

Grossman said Friday that a media outlet had received at least a dozen e-mails, which have grown increasingly violent and have threatened Andrews with murder, since September.

Grossman says the e-mails discuss the case of Michael David Barrett, who last month was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for stalking Andrews.

A message left by the Associated Press for an FBI spokeswoman was not immediately returned.

Andrews has been a contestant this season on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ which has beefed up security around Andrews while she is on set.

We will have more on this developing story later on
