Adam Cristman traded to Galaxy from D.C. United

The Galaxy acquired forward Adam Cristman from D.C. United in exchange for its first-round pick in Thursday’s MLS draft.
The trade was made a day after forward Edson Buddle, who scored 42 goals in 87 regular-season games with the Galaxy, left L.A. to play for FC Ingolstadt 04 of the German second division.
Cristman, 26, has 12 goals and six assists in 68 career regular-season games, with New England, Kansas City and D.C. He was a finalist for the MLS rookie of the year award in 2007 when he had four goals and four assists in 28 games. A year later, he scored a career-high six goals while limited to only 18 games because of a toe injury.
He had 34 goals and 15 assists in four years at the University of Virginia.
