Twenty seconds after goaltender Dan Ellis stopped Kings captain Dustin Brown on a breakaway, Francois Beauchemin scored on the power play to give the Ducks a 3-0 lead at 8:54 of the second period at Staples Center.

Saku Koivu and Lubomir Visnovsky assisted on the goal for the Ducks.
