NCAA sanctions make USC ineligible again for a postseason bowl game -- and that includes the inaugural Pacific 12 Conference championship game.
That didn’t stop reporters assembled for Tuesday’s Pac-12 Media Day from voting the Trojans as the projected champion of the South Division. Oregon was voted the North champion.
Times reporters did not vote, in compliance with Times policy prohibiting voting for awards or in polls.
Arizona State was voted as the South runner-up. If USC wins the South, the second-place team would play in the title game.
