Kevin Ramos, a 23-year-old Latino man, was shot and killed at 18000 Northam Street in Valinda, just south of West Covina, at 11:40 p.m. Friday Feb. 2. This case has not yet been listed by the coroner.

Ramos was hosting a party, according to sheriff’s investigators. Some gang members came by and asked to join it. He turned them away, and there was an argument. The intruders left, but then returned in three cars, one of them a ’97 or ’98 green or blue Ford Expedition. A suspect in the Expedition fired an assault rifle at the party, killing Ramos.
