Armando Herrera, a 32-year-old Latino, was shot at 1700 Pomeroy Ave. in Boyle Heights and died at 3:16 a.m. Feb. 5.

A neighbor heard shots and came out to find Herrera lying on the sidewalk. The neighbor loaded the wounded man into a car and served as an ambulance driver, taking him to County-USC Medical Center, where Herrera died. LAPD Hollenbeck detectives are looking for a gray Chevy Malibu or Impala. Call (323) 526-3678.
