Deonte J. Freeman, 19, a black man, was shot multiple times near the intersection of 41st Place and Woodlawn Avenue in LAPD’s Newton Division south of downtown, and died at 10:40 a.m. Monday, March 26. Freeman was ‘just in the wrong place at the wrong time,’ said LAPD Det. Rich Arciniega. Anyone with information is asked to call Arsenega at (323)846-6556.
