Just In: Paramount double cleared, and another case with it

Sheriff’s homicide detectives this week arrested suspects in connection with three Paramount homicide deaths reported on this site, including last weekend’s double-homicide:

The three men were charged in the murders of Julio Ramirez and Benjamin Velasco on July 28, and one of these suspects was also charged in the murder a month prior of Salvador Avila Jr., 19. Det. Todd Anderson, one of the investigators, said gang-territory disputes motivated the attack on Ramirez and Velasco, while a fight led to Avila’s death. See complete post
