Alfredo Amparan, 36, a Latino man, was shot in the neck and killed in the 7300 block of Hinds Avenue in North Hollywood at about 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Officers with LAPD’s North Hollywood Division responded to a radio call of shots-fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of Amparan. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:32 p.m.. According to police, Amparan was standing on the corner of Hinds Avenue when a suspect or suspects approached and shot him. Detectives have not determined the motive for the shooting, police said.
