Jairo Reyes, an 18-year-old Latino young man, was shot multiple times in the torso at 1175 E. 58th St. in South-Central Los Angeles early in the morning Sunday, March 16, and died shortly after at County-USC Medical Center, at about 2:17 a.m.

Reyes was at the wheel of a van when the suspects noticed him driving through the neighborhood, and opened fire. Mortally wounded, he drove a short distance further, and crashed into some parked cars. He lived in the neighborhood, or nearby. Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD Newton Det.
