Rafael Tenes, a 26-year-old Latino man, was shot multiple times in the 8100 block of South Compton Avenue in Florence at about 9:29 p.m. Saturday, March 22. Tenes was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:54 p.m. Los angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating.

Update: The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department identified the 26-year-old Latino man as Rafael Perez. The L.A. County Coroner, however, has identified him as Rafael Tenes.
