Michael Smith, 20, a young black man was fatally shot at 9510 S. Vermont Ave. near 95th Street in South Los Angeles at about 6 p.m. Saturday, June 7. The man was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he died, police said. Detectives with LAPD’s Southeast Division are investigating.
