West Adams drive-by shooting

A Latino man was killed in a drive-by shooting at 25th Street and Western Avenue in the West Adams area of Los Angeles about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14.

Officer Karen Smith of the LAPD’s media relations office, said two Latino men inside a vehicle pulled up next to the man and shot him in the chest. The men sped away, said Smith. She said the wounded man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
