Compton: Man, 22, is shot in the street

Tommy Edwards, a 22-year-old black man, was shot several times on Dec. 14, 2008, in the 15500 block of Gibson Avenue in Compton, according to coroner’s records.

Edwards was in the street at the time of the shooting, which occurred about 5:45 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records indicate.
