George McCafferty, a 53-year-old white man, died when he was crushed between the door of his car and another vehicle on Saturday, April 18, 2009, on the Carson Street offramp from the northbound 605 Freeway in Long Beach, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

McCafferty was involved in an argument with another driver, and both had stepped out of their cars. The other driver, who police identified as Duy Tieu, 29, reportedly got back into his car and drove it into McCafferty – pinning him and crushing him to death, officials said.
