Racquel Ruiz, a 68-year-old Latina, died from two gunshot wounds to the chest on Thursday, May 28, in the 28100 block of Bobwhite Circle in Saugus, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Ruiz was shot at approximately 8:20 a.m. by her husband, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office.
Winter said that after shooting her, the man, whose name was not immediately released, committed suicide by shooting himself.
