Homicides: July 20 - July 26

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has confirmed the following deaths as homicides. The Times will report more details later this week:

Thomas Pearson Jr., a 29-year-old black man, on July 20. Pearson was shot at the corner of Leimert Boulevard and Sutro Avenue in Leimert Park.

David Medina, a 45-year-old Latino, on July 21. Medina was shot in the 1700 block of South Mesa Street in San Pedro.

Ara Terunyan, a 35-year-old white man, on July 22. Terunyan was shot in the 300 block of West Colorado Boulevard in Glendale.

Luis Pozos-Huerta, a 27-year-old Latino, on Jul 23. Pozos-Huerta was shot in the 1700 block of South Longwood Avenue in Mid-City.

Dae’von Bailey, a 6-year-old black child, on Jul 23. Bailey was beaten in the 800 block of East 87th Place in Green Meadows.

Daniel Rodriguez, an 18-year-old Latino, on July 23. Rodriguez was shot at 105th Street and Compton Avenue in Watts.

Akop Aduryan, a 46-year-old Armenian man, on July 23. Aduryan wash shot in the 7500 block of Goodland Avenue in Sun Valley.

Kevin Polinskey a 29-year-old white man, on July 23. Polinskey was stabbed in the 1600 block of East Avenue I in Lancaster. [An earlier version of this post incorrectly said Polinskey was killed in Wilmington.]

Robin Ridgeway, a 49-year-old white woman, on July 23. Ridgeway was stabbed in the 700 block of South Hamilton Boulevard in Pomona.

Jose Jimenez, a 16-year-old white youth, on July 24. Jimenez was shot at Meeker Avenue and Mildred Street in El Monte.

Emilio Moncayo, a 34-year-old Latino, on July 24. Moncayo was shot in the 500 block of East Mckinley Avenue in Pomona.

Willie Adams, a 31-year-old black man, on July 25. Adams was shot in the 700 block of East 91st Street in Green Meadows.

Lily Burk, a 17-year-old white youth, on July 17. Burk was cut in the neck and her body was discovered at 5th Street and Alameda Street Downtown.

Luis Flores, a 66-year-old Latino, on July 25. Flores was shot in the 2000 block of East El Segundo Boulevard in Willowbrook. [An earlier version of this post incorrectly listed the location as Compton]

Adrian Soto, a 22-year-old Latino, on July 25. Soto was shot in the 2500 block of East 132nd Street in Willowbrook. [An earlier version of this post incorrectly listed the location as Compton]

Triso Arcos, a 40-year-old Latino, on July 25. Arcos was shot in the 3700 block of East 55th Street in Maywood.

Michelle Lu, a 55-year-old Asian woman, on July 26. Lu died after she was struck with an axe several tiimes in the 100 block of South Rosemead Boulevard in unincorporated Pasadena.
