Van Nuys: Carlos Bonilla, 37

Carlos Bonilla, a 37-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Dec. 20, in the 14700 block of Archwood Street in Van Nuys, authorities said.
According to a Los Angeles Police Department news release, Bonilla was standing next to his car when he was approached by someone who shot him in the head. He was shot about 8:15 p.m. as he was leaving his home on his way to work, police said.
Bonilla was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 8:32 p.m., according to coroner’s records. Police have no physical description of the suspect, but the person drove away in a mid 1990s Dodge Durango SUV.
