DENVER -- The Pepsi Center is history, as far as Democrats are concerned; nearby (but much bigger) Invesco Field at Mile High now becomes the center of their universe.

Although Barack Obama is not scheduled to give his speech accepting the Democratic presidential nomination -- and, more broadly, making the case for his candidacy to miliions and millions of television viewers -- until late in the evening, here’s a glimpse of today’s frenized efforts to get the site picture-perfect, and sufficiently wired, for the big event.
