Sarah Palin, who actually bantered with reporters today, also got a chance to elaborate on her past remarks that Alaska’s proximity to Russia qualifies as a foreign policy credential.

The Republican vice presidential contender was quizzed in the second segment of her sit-down with CBS anchorwoman Katie Couric, which airs tonight on the network’s evening news show. And the CBS public relations department was provided an advance clip of that exchange (along with some promos):
