I usually pull for the local guy, but when the Indianapolis Colts play host to New Orleans tonight in the NFL season opener, I’m hoping Saints cornerback Jason David gets burned like a tourist in the summertime.

David, a former three-sport star at Covina Charter Oak, will be counted on to slow All-Pro quarterback Peyton Manning, his teammate the last four years in Indianapolis.

After spending a No. 1 pick on Manning in my Fantasy Football League draft last weekend, I hope the Colts created new audibles for this game. A defender like David, who started 43 of 48 regular-season games for Indianapolis, could throw a monkey wrench in those plans.
