There’s no shortage of baseball talent in the Marmonte League. Thousand Oaks already has two pitchers committed to four-year schools. Headed to USC is right-hander Chad Smith, who was 5-0 as a junior and will get to work with new USC pitching coach Tom House. Headed to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is right-hander Jeff Johnson. Newbury Park has two players scheduled to take a recruiting trip to Utah: shortstop Brad Greve and catcher Jojo Sharrar. Westlake third baseman Shane Kroker committed to Wake Forest, and teammate Cutter Dykstra, a shortstop, is headed to UCLA.
