Bloomington retook the lead when Kurt Warner (no relation to Arizona Cardinals’ backup QB) scored on a 27-yard touchdown run in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter, but Rancho Verde fired back with Justin Salazar’s fourth touchdown pass of the game, and sealed the 38-28 victory when Daniel Jenkins returned a fumble 24 yards for a late touchdown, his third of the game.

According to linebacker Eric Martin, who had a fourth-down tackle to stop a Bloomington drive in Rancho Verde territory midway through the fourth quarter, the Mustangs had revenge on their minds after starting running back Deshawn Grayson blew out his knee against Bloomington last season. Grayson is only now beginning to get back to full speed.

‘This was payback for what they did to Deshawn,’ Martin said of Bloomington.

I would hate to imagine what would’ve happened if Bloomington did something shady on purpose, like steal defensive signals.
