USC Coach Pete Carroll is a nonstop recruiter, so it’s no surprise that he picked up a commitment earlier this week from junior Randall Carroll (no relation), one of the fastest players in the state and a receiver at Los Angeles Cathedral.

Carroll, also a track standout, has five touchdowns in his first two games.

Carroll said he committed to USC after the Trojans offered him a scholarship ‘because I like their coaching staff and how they run things.’

Carroll said USC doesn’t mind if he takes other visits, but he’s a strong Trojan commit for now.
