It was a weekend for Southland football streaks to come to an end. Calabasas ended its 44-game losing streak by beating Channel Islands. Oaks Christian had its 48-game win streak stopped by Ventura St. Bonaventure. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame lost its first regular-season game since 2003 to Birmingham. And Big Bear, 14-0 last season and undefeated this season, lost to Perris Citrus Hill, 24-21, on a 23-yard field goal with nine seconds left.
