Wear twins to visit North Carolina

Mater Dei’s Travis and David Wear, 6-foot-10 junior basketball players, plan to make an unofficial recruiting visit to North Carolina next month for the ‘Late Night with Roy’ event, starring North Carolina Coach Roy Williams.

‘They’re going to go out there with their mother to check out the school,’ their father, Dave Sr., told Carolinablue.com. ‘I’ve already been there once. I think it’s important for them to see the school, and for their mother to see the school. There is high interest on both parts. We want to make sure it is something that everyone wants to pursue.’

North Carolina is emerging as a prime competitor to UCLA for the twins.
