Servite shortstop/pitcher Chris Amezquita, who committed to UC Irvine months ago but changed his mind after Anteaters Coach Dave Serrano left for Cal State Fullerton, has committed to UCLA, according to sources. He recently visited Arizona State.

UCLA freshman pitcher Dan Klein, a Servite grad, probably deserves some credit in the recruiting.

Amezquita is a great pickup for the Bruins. He has improved as a hitter and pitcher during the summer. UCLA already has a commitment from Mater Dei shortstop Tyler Rahmatulla. Amezquita also can play third base.
