Centennial still not in the clear

Centennial came out in the second half determined to run the ball, and the Huskies moved the chains to the Clovis West 27 before quarterback Matt Scott hit Nick Beasley with his third touchdown pass of the game to take a 24-10 lead.

Clovis West is driving, however, and sits on the Centennial 27 at the end of the third quarter.

Southern Section officials Jim Staunton and Rob Wigod are here. Wigod is really impressed with Centennial tonight, even if I’m not. He keeps nudging me for the Orange Lutheran-Los Alamitos score, though. I know you guys work out of Los Alamitos, but do you have to be so blatant about your ‘homerism?’
