Riverside North seems to have worked out the kinks since last time I saw the Huskies play.

They rolled over a pretty good Chaparral team tonight, 33-10, getting 126 yards rushing and two touchdowns in 12 carries by Cedric Foster, who said the Huskies have come a long way since their season-opening 21-20 loss to Redlands East Valley.

‘The second game after the loss, we were a little sluggish coming out.’ Foster said of a 14-0 victory over Kaiser in Week 2. ‘We’ve been practicing hard ever since.’

Some publications haven’t been so forgiving.

North has not returned to The Times’ top 10 (the Huskies are No.13) since the loss, and only last week was ranked among the top 25 teams in the state by CalHiSports.com since playing Redlands East Valley.

Maybe it’s time to give the Huskies a mulligan.
