Santa Margarita (3-2) vs. Servite (4-1) at Brea Olinda High, tonight/Friday, 7:30 p.m.

This is a Trinity League opener that appears to be a battle for third place, behind Mater Dei and Orange Lutheran. Servite is coming off its first loss of the season, 17-9, to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, and must show that its offense can perform even if teams clamp down on slot back D.J. Shoemate, No. 3 pictured right. Santa Margarita is hoping sophomore Brett Mason continues to grow at quarterback and that running back Carlo Audagnotti can eat up yardage and the clock. He has averaged 163 yards a game.
