We’ve got a lot of quality games and predictions, so let’s get right down to it:

Oak Park at No. 21 Oaks Christian, 7:30 p.m. -- At the beginning of the season, I thought this might be the best Tri-Valley League game of the season, but I was wrong. Losses to Camarillo and Newbury Park illustrated the Eagles’ defense is not ready for the Lions’ Chris Potter (pictured left)-led offense.

My prediction: Oaks Christian 38, Oak Park 17
Calpreps.com prediction: Oaks Christian 38, Oak Park 22

Westlake (3-3, 2-1) at Simi Valley (4-2, 2-1), 7 p.m. -- Another one of those critical Marmonte League showdowns. I’ll give the Warriors the edge in this one, though, because they hung tough with Newbury Park a couple weeks ago. Although, I hope the defense, for its sake, learned from the Chris Brown incident; otherwise, Pioneer pusher Langston Jackson will make them pay.

Bishop Amat (2-4) at Alemany (4-2), 7:30 p.m. -- Final game of the Mission-Serra League swing and Alemany proved last week it could hang with the big boys. If Bishop Amat was caught napping in this week’s film class, Coach Dean Herrington and the rest of the guys on Rinaldi might be able to flea-flick and onside-kick their way to victory.

My prediction:
Bishop Amat 28, Alemany 17

Santa Barbara (5-1, 1-0) vs. No. 9 St. Bonaventure (5-1, 1-0) at Ventura, 7 p.m. -- The biggest test of the year for the Dons should just be another Channel League game for the Seraphs, but it’ll be interesting to see if Santa Barbara can keep things close. Of course, the Dons can’t count on a field goal in quadruple overtime to save them this week.

My Prediction: St. Bonaventure 42, Santa Barbara 24
Calpreps.com: St. Bonaventure 35, Santa Barbara 21

Camarillo (4-2, 1-0) at Hueneme (3-3, 0-1), 7 p.m. -- I was completely shocked by the way Oxnard hammered the Vikings last week. If Hueneme wants to prove its a playoff contender, it’s got to find a way to slow down Camarillo QB Marcus Sanchez, who’s played a role in the Scorpions setting three team records in the past two games.

My prediction:
Camarillo 36, Hueneme 14
Calpreps.com: Camarillo 27, Hueneme 14
