Friendly foes in South Gate

It is a rivalry without pain or angst. A rivalry still fresh and growing.

Tonight marks the third meeting between the South Gate Rams and their third-year city neighbor, the South East Jaguars. They will kick off at 7 p.m. at Veterans Stadium in Long Beach.

Half of South East’s coaching staff, and roughy a third of the student body, came from South Gate.

Right now it is a game of love and respect. But given time; the pain and angst a rival can inflict is not far off.
