No practice? No problem for Jordan

The lack of practice time this week because of wildfires and subsequent poor air quality, figured to hurt a passing team like Jordan. But the the Bulldogs depend on for their pass routes was intact Friday, and they went on to a decisive 42-22 victory over visiting Garfield.

The victory guarantees Jordan (6-3, 5-0) a share of the Eastern League title. The Bulldogs can win it outright next week by beating South Gate.

If that happens, Jordan will get a home game for the first round of the City division playoffs, something it didn’t get when it won the same league title last year.
