El Toro and Huntington Beach will play their Sea View League game tonight, as originally rescheduled in the wake of last week’s wildfires.

The decision by the schools, contacted over the weekend by SVL president Tom Nelson -- who is also the principal at Woodbridge -- will mean only one of the three regularly scheduled games will be played.

Woodbridge announced over the weekend that it will forfeit its game to Trabuco Hills, and Northwood will forfeit its game to Foothill. Neither wanted to play two games in a week after no less than nine days of inactivity.

Both Woodbridge and Northwood are winless this season, so the outcome of those games may be a foregone conclusion. El Toro is 2-0 and shares the league lead with Trabuco Hills; Huntington Beach is 1-1 and tied with Foothill for third place. Both ET and HB have 4-3 overall records, and a victory could be important toward earning an at-large berth for the playoffs.

The top three teams in the league are guaranteed an automatic playoff berth.
