While his minions were covering football games on Monday night, Editor Bob was watching Bruce Springsteen in concert. While his minions were punching away thumb-to-BlackBerry, Editor Bob was waving a flame at Springsteen for something like the 83rd time.

Yep, Editor Bob chose Springsteen over Monday night high school football. My guess is the Springsteen concert lasted longer than the 2 hours 45 minutes it takes to play a game. Of course, when you’re playing nine-minute songs, it can tend to get a little lengthy.

So the over/under on the Springsteen concert is 2:45. Any guesses how long The Boss actually played at the Sports Arena? My guess is 3 hours 38 minutes.

Here’s the 9 minute 24 second version of ‘The River,’ which is almost an entire quarter of football. It’s not one of my favorites, but everyone should hear a nine-minute song once in their life.
