Just like the golden days of NBC in the ‘90s, tonight is ‘Must See Thursday’ on FSN West for high school football fans in the SGV. It’s South Hills vs West Covina, otherwise known as the annual San Antonio League championship game, and don’t act like you didn’t know this already.

But as a Bulldog Booster said in his blog, that’s no excuse to stay at home if you can make it to Covina District Stadium. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to, so I’m glad the TV option exists.

Before the season started this had potential to be a really good game, but the way the season has played out, I think it’s going to be a blowout in South Hills’ favor. I hope I’m wrong, West Covina fans, and that the game is a close encounter of the third kind, but I just don’t see that happening.

Here’s my SGV top 10:

1. Charter Oak (6-1-1)...Another week, another convincing victory.2. Glendora (6-2)...Game vs Ayala is ‘Game of The Week’ in the area.2. South Hills (6-2)...If star linebacker comes back, team should only get better.4. Muir (6-2)...’Stangs came up huge against Arcadia.5. St. Francis (4-4)...A win this week puts them in Mission League’s driver’s seat.6. Diamond Ranch (1-7)...Yes, the drop is because of the forfeits.7. Arcadia (7-1)...Last week was a total party foul, wasn’t it?8. Duarte (6-1)...Montview League championship game against La Puente on Friday.9. Los Altos (5-3)...Will look to get back on winning track against Wilson.10. Baldwin Park (6-2)...Controls its own league title championship destiny.

Next 5: 11. San Dimas (7-1), 12. Bishop Amat (2-6), 13. Alhambra (6-2), 14. Blair (6-1), 15. Rosemead
