Remember when I said that Ayala made the big plays and Glendora just pounded the ball on the ground? We’ll, scratch that.

Glendora has scored twice via long passes, something I did not expect. The first, on fourth and goal from the 22, and just now on a 37-yard pass from WR Michael Edwards (on a lateral from QB Drew Kaluzny) to Russell Johnson on third and 18 to take the lead. The Tartans converted the two-point conversion to go up 24-17 with 10:33 left.

Glendora came up huge on defense with a sack of Matt Baca on fourth and goal from the two to help maintain its 24-17 lead. There’s 5 minutes left in the game.

Now, can the Tartans now go back to the run and run out the clock?
