Thanks, FSN-PT, for providing coverage of Thursday night’s game at Covina District Stadium. Otherwise I would have never known just how good Dorian Wells really is. Actually, I already knew he was good, just not this good.

South Hills beat West Covina, 35-24, in a game that ended up being a lot closer than I (and probably the Huskies coaching staff) expected. In doing so, it essentially wrapped up the San Antonio League title.

DorianPrime TimeWells rushed for 251 yards, scored four touchdowns (three in the first half) and also had an interception in the end zone.

The funniest moment in the broadcast came when Bulldogs Coach Mike Maggiore was asked at halftime what his team needed to do to slow down Wells. His answer: ‘You tackle him.’ Then awkward silence. ‘You just tackle him,’ Maggiore said again.

Oh, that’s all? Thanks for the insight, coach. Lindsey, back to you guys up in the desk. I mean, come on.

‘You tackle him’? You think!?! Ha Ha. You’re too funny, coach.
