Attendance at tonight’s game: 22,000

Actually, it’s ‘approximately’ 22,000, but what’s the difference really when you are dealing in figures above 20K for a high school football game.

If that’s correct and only 22,000 are in attendance at Angel Stadium tonight, that means 2,000 people that had bought tickets decided to stay at home and follow the game through The Times’ Varsity Times blogs ... or maybe FSN.

Whatever, the crowd is huge crowd -- and it’s the largest at a high school game in the Southland this year. The energy in the stands is also making its way down to the field, as every play seems like the last in terms of intensity and pressure.

By the way, Servite cut its deficit to 14-7, and there’s 5:14 left in the third quarter.
