To give you an idea of what the view from the Mater Dei sideline is, imagine standing in short-right field at Angel Stadium and seeing every seat filled on the field level, second level and third level behind third base.

More than one person hon the field has said, but I’ll say it again: ‘This is not your average high school game.’

The crowd is about 50-50 split between the schools, but Servite’s fans are louder.

Barbara Bush just made a video appearance on the big screen, the Marines are in the house and Servite Coach Troy Thomas is jumping around like a maniac on the infield, trying to get the fans hyped up.

The crowd is getting louder and the teams are ready to take the field.

Are you ready for some football? I sure am.
