Green returns to uniform tonight for Compton

Compton RB Donald Green, pictured, who missed the Tarbabes’ last game of the regular season, a Moore League loss to Lakewood, and the last quarter of the previous week’s league loss to Long Beach Poly after suffering two broken ribs in the third quarter, is back in uniform tonight and expected to play against host Edison in a first-round Pac-5 Division playoff game at Huntington Beach High.

The playmaker, who occasionally lines up at WR, is a key component of Compton’s offense. The senior had been averaging nearly 200 yards a game and rushed for a team-leading 1,796 yards and 17 touchdowns in 139 carries this season before his injury.
