Those hoping for top-seeded Long Beach Poly to stumble in the Pac-5 Division playoffs are going to have to wait another week. The Jackrabbits are looking in top form, opening a 14-0 lead over Santa Margarita with just over four minutes left in the second quarter.

Melvin Richardson has a 37-yard touchdown run and Morgan Fennell passed five yards to Kevin Norrell for another touchdown. Poly’s defense has been spectacular, hitting hard, stuffing Santa Margarita’s running game and pressuring quarterback Ryan World.
