Orange Lutheran, the defending Pac-5 Division champion, played like it tonight. The Lancers closed out Mission Viejo, 28-7, in a first-round game at Santa Ana Stadium.

Ricky Pemasa rushed for three touchdowns and Blake Hyepock passed for 223 yards, but the Lancers’ defense -- led by Ricky Pemasa’s twin, Alex, and cousin, Jeremiah -- stole the show.

It sacked Allan Bridgford seven times and intercepted four of his passes, and it also recovered his fumble after a huge hit by Asuega Kapono.

‘Everyone talks about their offense, especially last year’s,’ Diablos Coach Bob Johnson said. ‘But this isn’t last year. I like their defense.’
