Palos Verdes leads Santa Monica at halftime

In the words of those wonderful folks of Monty Python ... ‘And now for something completely different.’

After nearly three months of watching City teams, I’m spending Friday night at Mira Costa watching Santa Monica play Palos Verdes in a Southern Section Western Division first-round game.

It’s been an entertaining first half.

Santa Monica quarterback Ryan Katz, headed to Oregon State, has completed a pass play of 72 yards for a touchdown, but Palos Verdes quarterback Marc Venning has thrown two touchdown passes, and the Sea Kings are leading, 14-13.
