You may know this about Keith Donerson. But maybe not...

Donerson shares the head coaching duties with a very important person in his life -- his father, Willie Donerson.

Keith has been co-coach of the Dominguez football team with his dad for 21 seasons. ‘Through the years, I’ve learned my father is usually right,’ he says of his dad’s gut instincts or designed plays.

And the Donerson tag-team has been hot, with the Dons reaching the Western Division finals the past three seasons, winning the last two.

On Friday, Dominguez (9-2) will play Alemany (8-3) in the quarterfinals, and, if Keith Donerson fails to heed his father’s play book, somebody will give him a stern reminder -- his mother.

‘She’ll say, ‘When your father’s telling you something, you’d better listen,’’ Keith says.

Me, personally, I respect a football coach who still listens to mom and dad. Don’t you?
