Orange Lutheran (9-1) vs. Edison (8-3) at Orange Coast College, 7:30 p.m.

Since its embarrassing loss to Mater Dei, 42-14, Edison has gone six games without allowing more than 13 points. The Chargers are playing extremely well, like they did last season when they reached the Pac-5 finals -- where they lost to Orange Lutheran, 30-20. The stakes are different this time, with a chance to move on to the semifinals. Much of Edison’s hopes hinge on protecting quarterback Nick Crissman and its ability to match the physical play of Lutheran, led by Ricky Pemasa and Blake Ayles. If fourth-seeded Lutheran hangs on to the ball, it may not matter. Did I mention that Lutheran beat Mater Dei, 31-12? Nevertheless, this game could go to the wire. It really could. Honest.
