Poly advances to Pac-5 semifinals with victory

Though FSN Prime Ticket reported that top-seeded Long Beach Poly was ahead of Newport Harbor, 49-0, at halftime, our office heard from a caller who said the Jackrabbits won, 35-14, at Newport Harbor High.

Either way, it appears that Poly advances to play the winner of the Orange Lutheran-Edison quarterfinal in one half of the Pac-5 Division semifinal doubleheader next Friday at the Home Depot Center in Carson.
