Rancho Verde committed its third red-zone turnover and Travell Washington scored his fifth touchdown of the game, adding up to a 32-14 lead for the third-seeded Yellowjackets heading into the fourth quarter of this Central Division quarterfinal.

And Colton is about to score again.

The Mustangs got a nice kickoff return to midfield to start the second half, moved the ball inside the Colton 20-yard line and then BYU-bound free safety Daniel Sorenson intercepted Rancho Verde quarterback Justin Salazar in the back of the end zone for the second time tonight.

Nick Reyes then busted loose on a 69-yard run to the Rancho Verde nine-yard line and Washington ran into the end zone two plays later from the two-yard line.

The injuries are beginning to mount for Rancho Verde. Simote Moala, a 6-foot, 300-pound junior defensive tackle was carted off late in the third quarter with an apparent knee injury.

The Mustangs were already without their best receiver, Andrew Bouvay, who broke his ankle against Norco three weeks ago and was lost for the season.

A couple other skill players are limping around for Rancho Verde as well.

This game is in the refridgerator.
