In today’s ‘Snoop Doggy Dog’ world, things become more important when they have a Da instead of The. Either that or it just looks cool.

Which is OK, because tonight’s volleyball match between Mira Costa and Redondo is both important and cool. The two rivals played in last week’s Southern Section Division I-AA title match, which was televised on a tape-delay basis by FSN.

In case you’ve forgotten, here’s the recap.

Here’s a sideblog on Falyn Fonoimoana.

And, finally, here’s the preview.

After Saturday’s match the players from Redondo were emotionless as they accepted their second-place medals and watched Mira Costa’s players celebrate. Maybe it was because it was a 3-0 sweep, or maybe, and this is how most people saw it, they knew that Mira Costa was much better from the start

After seeing Mira Costa dominate Redondo Union so easily, I’d be shock if the outcome were any different this time around at Mira Costa High. The winner advances to the state finals on Saturday at San Jose State.
