The Darrell Scott recruiting road show finally will make a stop in Gainesville on Jan. 11, when one of the most coveted RBs in the nation plans to make an official visit to Florida.

Scott, who has 1,876 yards rushing and 23 TDs heading into top-seeded St. Bonaventure‘s Northern Division semifinal against third-seeded Saugus on Saturday, made recruiting visits to Colorado and Texas earlier this month.

The Texas visit went really well, according to St. Bonny offensive line coach Roger Sonsini, who went with Scott on both visits. However, if you’re a frequent clicker of the SF/Valley North blog, then you already know my colleague, Sean Ceglinsky, and I think Scott is going to end up signing with the Gators. After all, they are the defending national champions and they’re located in the same state he spent his childhood in.

Still, there are plenty of other teams still in the Scott sweepstakes. The 6-foot-1, 203-pounder will probably visit LSU and possibly Florida State [he actually lived in Tallahassee] sometime in the next couple months.
